Tango Litter - August 11, 2000

Born August 11, 2000, at about 5 PM, Todi, the first of the kittens was born. Originally, my wife, Annette, had set up a small box with blankets in the utility room. However, I thought it was a bit cool and way too noisy. Apparently, so did Sassy and as soon as we left to let her do what she had to do, she moved her kittens.

Upon coming back and finding Sassy gone, we searched for her. Unable to find her, we called for her and sure enough, she came. So where was she "hiding"? Soon, she went back to her "den" and we followed. Sassy was not the only one to be having kittens when my wife, Annette, found out that Sassy had moved the entire brood under Darwin's bed.

While there had been three kittens born to the litter, on Sunday, August 13, we found that the third kitten had died. The cause was unknown and Sassy had separated the other two remaining kittens.
