Mother Sassy, nursing Todi & Tasha (T Litter), under
Darwin's bed, at 10 days.
Sassy - August 11, 2000
As July went by, Sassy got better acquainted with us and check out the whole house.
She also made a point to check every nook and cranny, too. For a short time, she started
to hang out in the computer room. No noise, other then the fans, and no traffic. Again,
while I had my suspicions, I was still a member of Cats for Dummies 101. Fortunately, I
made a point to close the closet doors. The floor is bare and the last thing I need is
a momma cat denning in my uniforms.
At 3:30 pm on 11 August 2000, Sassy came to us and started crying to let us know
labor had begun. Looking back, it was really funny because both Annette and I had gotten
a bed ready for her, and all sorts of "get ready for the baby" type of stuff. After three
kids of our own, we found ourselves scrambling over a cat. In the end it was all for
nothing. Sassy had already picked out where she was going to den with her kittens.
