Sassy - July 12, 2000

The next day I was off at last. My neighbors, who are cats lovers and have six, came over to ask about her. Neighbors thought she was a most beautiful cat. Love the blue eyes. Upon the neighbor's advice, Annette put in an ad to see if anyone was missing a cat. Seems Sassy is the only one who staked a claim.

Meanwhile, Sassy continued to eat and put on weight. But something did not seem right. It was then that I realized that when I was going up, my family never once had a female cat in the house. And we had a couple of cats, but all were male. I did not tell Annette, but I had my suspicions.

On June 30th, the neighbors had a vet-on-wheels come out to their house. The neighbor told the vet and the vet stopped by. We had already talked about seeing a vet to make sure Sassy did not have anything or any parasites. They took Sassy in for a check up. Sometime later, the vet came out and told Sassy was just fine. Oh Sassy had a couple of parasites alright...she was about a month pregnant!

That explained everything. Sassy was looking for a home for her unborn kittens. Sassy suckered us into adopting a pregnant cat!
